SkyBase was formed in 2005 and purchased the satellite division of Liberty Communications. The company has been serving the emergency management community and critical infrastructure customers with the most reliable and dependable satellite systems available for over a decade.

SkyBase, in partnership with the State of Florida, designed a robust back-up satellite communications system to network emergency management regions, counties & municipalities to the State Emergency Operations Center and other Florida agencies involved in disaster response. SkyBase representatives have traveled the State since the 90's introducing this system to first response and prevention agencies. The system today is recognized as the premier backup satellite network for disaster response in the nation.
